Physical Therapy

Elizabeth L. Upton, MSPT

Liz is a certified Connecticut Physical Therapist and Children’s Yoga Facilitator. She received her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Boston University in 2000, and her Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy from Boston University in 2002. She has extensive training in sensory integration and manual therapy techniques. Liz worked as a staff physical therapist both at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Bridgeport, CT and Rehabilitation Associates, Inc. in Fairfield, CT, where she treated patients with diagnoses including, but not limited to, Multiple Sclerosis, Traumatic Brain Injury, Williams Syndrome, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Rett Syndrome. At Rehabilitation Associates, Liz also served as Pediatric Physical Therapy Supervisor where she was responsible for school-based physical therapy staff in Fairfield Public Schools, program development and continuing program facilitation. In 2004, she opened her own practice which enables her to work privately with children and families in homes, daycares, schools, and other natural environments. Liz contracts with Angelfish Therapy to perform aquatic therapy with children and directs and runs Children’s Yoga Classes.

• Consultation to families, schools, and in the community
• Equipment consultation and evaluation

Treated diagnoses include (but are not limited to) ABI, CP, Genetic  Syndromes, Seizure disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, CMV, Torticollis, Sensory Processing Disorders, Hypotonia, Ataxia, and Arthrogryposis.
